10th Amendment is "A Bunch of Baloney"... Says MSNBC

This same video just got yanked off of YouTube.  My comment is that this talking head forgets to mention that the Constitution FORBIDS certain activities that the government is engaging in, such as direct non-apportioned taxation. ~ Mike Rivero - Video

And finally, we may be past the argument over what is legal and what is not. We all know there are bad laws. Everything Hitler did was legal. Did that make it right? Were the German people right to obey those laws? The same with Mussolini, or Pol Pot, or Stalin, or Allende. Every conviction that sentenced an accused witch to be burned alive at the stake was was in accordance with the law.

Here in the United States we used to have laws that allowed slavery. We acknowledge today that those laws were wrong and deserved to be ignored. My ancestors ran a station on the Underground Railroad on that very principle.

During WW2 innocent people were locked up in concentration camps simply because they were Japanese. Today we acknowledge that those laws were wrong.

The government is not infallible. They make mistakes. They succumb to greed and vanity. And we know today that they lie to us every single chance they get.

Finally, everything the British Government did in the first half of the 1700s was the letter of the law. Did that make it right?

The Founding Fathers did not think so. They understood that governments are built by greedy people and that ultimately all governments are oligarchies, and ultimately all governments cross the line between what is tolerable and what is intolerable.

We are at that line today, and the reactions of the government and media to the Saturday protest proves that they know it.
