The 2009 Summer of Resistance...

I remember a time in my life wherein I,as an American, held such a venomous amount of animosity towards the citizens of the United States. I saw the amount of subjugation faced by the innocent people of the world, all stemming from a selfish government run by self interested shills and pushed forward by an apathetic flock of citizens... ~ PoliticalTheatrics

The gleam of the television buzz was screaming back at me with every discussion held between myself and another American - every response given was a direct repetition of what was heard on such "˜news outlets' as FOX,CNN,ABC etc - there was no thought process occurring in the minds of the American people; everything was being fed to them through the plastic of their remote controls, acting as makeshift I.V's.

With every ounce of my being I hated this country for what it was doing to the world, destroying every precious group of people and forcing "˜democracy' unto others while neglecting to face reality - that democracy is lacking in every fiber of its meaning within the United States of America.

From the moment our limbs are capable of functioning on their own we are asked to follow mother and father in what they tell us to do and say,but this authoritative position for the sake of our maturing minds is sent spinning out of control once we are pushed into the United States public school system.
Questioning authority is referred to as nothing more than a grave sin,and being a dissident is completely out of the question. You do as you are told like a good child or you suffer the consequences for asking "why?".

We are all uniformly brainwashed into believing that the powers that rule this nation are "˜in charge' and thus we are in no position to question them, let alone fight them. We are the poor and subjugated in comparison to the men and women who charge into Congress,or those who mingle within the President's Cabinet.

Most of you live comfortable lives, not wanting any problems to arise which would in turn cause any strife for you or your loved ones.

Others of you can barely afford to pay the bills or feed your children, thus any notion of creating any more "problems" would be nothing less of asinine.

But I'm here to tell you that our weaknesses only make us stronger, for it is a serious promise within the ideal of resistance to press on,and to get up no matter how many times we are knocked down.

We are all "brothers in suffering, brothers in resistance, brothers in ideals and conviction. It is now our duty to further strengthen this bond in order to secure this hard-won freedom for future generations."

If we don't stand up for each other who will?

The great Samuel Adams once stated that "…the liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks.

We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."

This is the summer of resistance, the summer of deliverance, the summer of dissidence…

Any amount of fear or despair shall not shake our belief that the only way our nation and it's people shall be free is through resistance against those who are stripping us of our freedoms.

We, the people of the United States, are America -
Our Founding Fathers built this nation with blood, sweat and tears -
With the cries of warriors, martyrs and the screaming sound of rattling shackles broken through diplomacy and brotherhood.

We,the people of the United States, decide who rules over us.
We are the people who make up this melting pot of culture and unity, and we will not stand while our nation is torn as we watch helplessly from the sidelines.

"What country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." -Thomas Jefferson
