Modern science can measure extremely minute levels of impurities. Mercury and lead are natural materials present in the environment which are detectable at levels far below what is present in nature - thus it is not possible to remove this background impurity level below measurable levels.

So saying something has "measurable" levels of these materials means noting. Everything on earth contains these substances at measurable levels thanks to the extreme capabilities of modern analytic chemistry.
